What’s The Difference Between Single Slider vs. Double Slider Windows?
How do I choose a window style?

Roller shades and Roman shades are both perfect for adding elegance to your home and beautifully shedding you as well as your home from the hard ultraviolet rays from the sun and still provide you with a beautiful view from the inside.

What are Roman Shades?

Also known as Roman blinds, these types of window shutters are the simple, yet stylish approach to window treatment. They are classic and streamlined staple in décor. By definition, Roman shades are simply fabric window coverings that can easily be lowered or raised using a cord system and rings that are sewn at the back of the fabric. The fabric stacks folds evenly in horizontal folds when raised.

A basic Roman shade will result in evenly-sized horizontal folds beautifully falling down the window. These shades are typically made with a series of horizontal bars that create gentle folds, with cords and eyelets on the wrong side for drawing the shade up.

The Roman shades do not allow home owners to control the range of view through the window shutters or light that is entering. This is especially true about the shades that come with only one piece-design.

Roman shades are usually ideal for bedroom and they can effectively cover the entire window and block the light, allowing maximum privacy.

Roma shades are available in two styles, including soft folds Roman shades and flat Roman shades.

What are roller shades?

Roller shades are basically a solid sheet of materials which covers the window and rolls down or up. They can be made of various materials. The vinyl roller shades are the most popular ones. They generally function with a drawstring. However, they can also be automated to lower or raise at the touch of the button.

The roller shades are simple, sleek and budget-friendly. They can match almost every interior aesthetic and design, no matter the materials. Roller shades are solid and they cannot be seen through. Therefore, they offer the highest level of protection from the sun and privacy. The rollers are utterly smooth, with no any pleats. They also have a low-profile appearance. They also allows you to choose light control, thus allowing as little or as much natural light as you desire to the room. This is one of the most outstanding advantage of roller shades against Roman shades. They are also available in vibrant colors.

Roller shades cannot be used in most older homes given that they have an extremely modern look that will definitely not match the house’ interior.
