Through the diseased or wilted leaves and use the clean, dry leaves to make compost. An easier way to treat clean fallen leaves is mulching. You can spread the leaves over your lawn and mow them with a lawnmower.

Protect the Winter Vegetables

If you own a vegetable garden on your lawn and want it to provide you with healthy vegetables in spring, make sure to keep it safe in the winter. Cover your edible flowers before the first frost even if your vegetables are cold-tolerant.

Prepare Your Soil for Spring

Although it is a task that most people postpone until spring. However, fall is a great time to add nutrients like manure, compost, or organic fertilizers to the soil. If you add these nutrients in the fall, they will have plenty of time for dissolving and breaking into their active forms till spring. As a result, you will have a fertile, healthy, and fertile garden in spring!

Plan for Birds

Winter invites different migratory birds. These migratory birds need to fuel up their energy to reach their destination.
